Soniet ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Soniet mobile application. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials through Firebase Authentication.

Profile Information: You may provide your full legal name, phone number, and display name within the app.

Conversation Data: Messages you send to Soniet, AI-generated responses, and conversation history are stored to provide personalized assistance.

Memory Data: Soniet learns facts about you during conversations (preferences, routines, names) to provide better assistance. You can view and clear this data at any time in Settings.

Location Data: With your permission, we collect your approximate location to provide location-aware responses. Location sharing can be toggled on or off in Settings.

Calendar Data: With your permission, Soniet reads your calendar events to help manage your schedule. Calendar data is read locally on your device.

Device Information: We collect device model, OS version, app version, and a device identifier for security and verification purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and personalize the Soniet AI assistant experience
• To send you SMS messages including reminders, notifications, and AI responses when you opt in
• To verify your identity during the Non-Disclosure Agreement process
• To improve the quality and accuracy of AI responses
• To maintain the security and integrity of our service

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Soniet:

• Firebase (Google): Authentication, database, and cloud functions
• Anthropic (Claude): AI language model for generating responses
• OpenAI: Text-to-speech voice synthesis
• Twilio: SMS messaging and phone number verification
• SendGrid: Email verification

These services process your data according to their own privacy policies. We do not sell your data to any third party.

4. SMS Messaging

By providing your phone number in the app, you consent to receive SMS messages from Soniet including reminders, notifications, and AI-generated responses. You can opt out at any time by:

• Replying STOP to any message from Soniet
• Removing your phone number from the app settings
• Deleting your account

Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on your usage.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Firebase Cloud Firestore with encryption at rest and in transit. Sensitive credentials are stored in your device's Keychain. Verification codes are hashed before storage.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data as long as your account is active. You can:

• Clear your conversation memory at any time in Settings
• Request complete deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us

7. Children's Privacy

Soniet is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
